ABOUT US
Since 2003 The Puget Sound Dualsport Enthusiasts have hosted
rides and events throughout Washington State. Our rides are monthly
from Spring into early Fall and include all the great places to ride
from the Olympic Peninsula, into the Cascades and beyond.
Today we have more than 700 list members.
This is a dualsport crowd and routes are typically evenly divided
between gravel and paved roads. A good 80/20 or 90/10
dual sport tire is recommended since there’s almost always some highway
riding involved along the routes. All
participants are usually provided with a map of the route so they
can travel at their own pace instead of in a pack of dust if you
choose not to. At times there are GPS docents on the ride who have
the route in onboard in their GPS making it easier for others to
locate critical turn points and to sweep the route at the end.
As often as possible we pre-ride a route a week in advance of the
ride date.
All sizes of dualsports are encouraged to attend our rides and
events. And although all main routes are on pavement and gravel,
often we provide single track options to those wishing to
incorporate some of that into their day.
Past rides have included Jack Pass, Quilcene to Sequim, Lake
Wynoochee, Mt. Rainier and Colockum Pass just to name a few. Be sure
to join our mailing list so you know when rides are happening and
are apprised of updates.
It’s free to join the list and there’s typically no charge for
rides. But it does take money to operate and that is made by way of
our annual poker run, overnight events, our annual rally held each
summer in the Columbia River Gorge and the sale of maps which you
can buy in the event you can’t make a ride on the day it’s
scheduled.
