 Wrenchead.com National Dirt Track Series To Make Stop at Emerald Downs
Dirt Track is racing coming back - Bigger and Better!
Saturday, September 16, at Seattle-Tacoma's Emerald Downs, 48 of the world's
best motorcycle dirt trackers will participate in the Wrenchead.com National
Dirt Track $150,000 points series. Top riders, including National Champion Chris
Carr, Harley factory rider Rich King, and many more will take to the track to
battle for the points in round five of this exciting series. Witness the awesome
power of extreme sportsmanship as man and machine rip it up in the
straight-aways, sling dirt over the track walls, and maneuver sideways in all
four turns.
In its first year sanctioned by Formula USA, this series will visit more than
ten cities and entertain thousands of fans across the country. The series begins
in Fort Worth, Texas, at the all new, state-of-the-art, half-mile dirt track
facility at the world renowned Texas Motor Speedway on May 6 and concludes at
the legendary Del Mar Fairgrounds in Del Mar, California, on October 8.
The purse structure for the 2000 Wrenchead.com National Dirt Track events
will be as follows: Mile events will pay a total of $55,000 with the winner's
share of $10,000. Half-mile events will pay $45,000 with a winner's share of
$7,500.
Racing action begins at Emerald Downs at 7:30 p.m. when the first green flag
falls at the seventh round of the Wrenchead.com National Dirt Track Series.
Spectators from across the country will gather for a night of nonstop action.
Through a series of heats, qualifiers and a main event, a winner will be chosen
and points will be earned as this series races toward the finish line in Del
