2011 Inland Motorcycle Show and Sale

New dates, new location, new features

A change is in the wind and this time it’s a good one! Traditionally held mid-winter, the Inland Motorcycle Show and Sale (aka the Spokane Motorcycle Show) has a new location and a new date. For 2011, the show will be held a month later, March 11 – 13 in its new location at the Spokane Fair & Expo Center, east of downtown about 10 minutes.

Show promoters Steve Cody and Jim Cotter of Del Creek productions are excited. "It’s going to be warmer which means more people can ride their motorcycles,” said Cody from his office in Colbert. Cotter added "The new dates mean more dealers and vendors because we don’t conflict with a major industry trade show in the mid-west on the same weekend, as was the case in the past.”

One big advantage to utilizing the Fair & Expo Center is that parking will be FREE. Regardless of whether you ride a motorcycle or drive a car, simply park and start enjoying the show without the hassle of getting a parking access pass.

Show prices remain the same as last year at just $10 a person. If you went last year and paid for parking, you’ll essentially be paying less this year to attend.

Features returning to the show this year include the KKZX Bike-off competition, always a favorite with show attendees, where numerous vintage and custom bikes compete for prizes in an all-out competition of who has the finest machines.

Another feature returning to the show for the third year is the weekend long series of Sound RIDER! seminars presented by Northwest notables like moto-journalists David Hough (Proficient Motorcycling) and Tom Mehren (Motorcycle Rides through Central and Eastern Oregon, the Columbia River Gorge and other guide books). New to the bill will be Chrisie Tkacs, co-owner of Puget Sound Safety, who teaches classes at West Side Motorsports and other Eastern Washington ranges. All three will be presenting informative seminars covering riding skills and touring smarts. See schedule at left for times and details.

Need to see some stunting on a closed course? The High Ridaz team will be presenting an outdoor exhibition each day. For the kids, there’s going to be video game racing and everyone can enter to win a Kawasaki KX65 at the Monster Energy display.

Unlike other motorcycle shows, you can actually buy a motorcycle onsite at the event. With all the new models hitting the market now, there’s no better time to sit on them side-by-side and see if one is your next bike.
