Sound RIDER! Profile

More than a decade ago, Keith Thompson got on a plane for the Southeastern United States where he picked up a Harley and proceeded to bring it back to Seattle.  Now and then he'd park the bike in a far away state, fly home, then return a month or so later to pick up where he left off. In four years he'd covered a lot of ground and eventually many of the the routes, and scenery, gave birth to the Eastside Custom Ride program of today.

Born: Idaho 1938

Occupation: Co-Owner of Specialty Packaging, Sound Container, and Eastside Harley-Davidson/Buell

Current Ride: H-D Road King and others

Mile Markers: Criss-crossed the United States four times between 1990–1993.  Has ridden in all 50 states including Alaska and Hawaii

Family Life: Five Children, married to Bev Thompson of Eastside Harley-Davidson

On Owning a Harley:  "If you can only afford one Harley, make it a Road King"

On Buying a Motorcycle:  "If you think you've got personality, buy a bike with personality."

Taco Thursdays: "No"

Sturgis: "Once every 5 years if I have to"

Long Range Riding: "That I'd do any day of the week."

Why he doesn't own a Yacht: "There are two good days in a yacht owners life:  They day they buy the yacht, and the day they sell it."

Catch Keith on an Eastside Custom Ride soon.
