Ducati Happenings

The big news this month is the re-opening of the Ducati Redmond location, which closed abruptly in late summer of 2019, when all the Howard Crowe owned shops in the Puget Sound locked their doors. Several have been reopened including the old Hinshaw’s store and Indian dealerships in Auburn.

We recently caught wind that the Ducati Redmond location was going to re-open, so I made the trip over to find out more. It has new owners, an all-new staff and is ready for new beginnings.

The new owners are two local entrepreneurs and moto enthusiasts – Steve Holderman and Ken Smith. And yes, both had been former customers of Ducati Redmond.

The General Manager is James Bautista who has worked at dealerships in both San Diego and Tucson.

The new sales manager is David Taylor.

Upon my arrival, the team was just unloading their first shipment of bikes and was busy preparing the showroom for a July opening.

At this time, Ducati will be the exclusive line at the store. They’ll also carry the brand's apparel line.

Speaking of Ducati, Jay Leno recently did an interview and test ride with Ducati North America’s president about the newest Multistrada V4 (above). You read that right, there is a V4 adventure bike on the market now. It weighs in at under 600 pounds. You can find the video on the Jay Leno’s Garage YouTube channel.

New in the Ducati apparel line is the Speed Air C2 fabric jacket, designed by Aldo Drudi and made in collaboration with Spidi. The mesh jacket, designed by Aldo Drudi, features a padded collar area and armor in the arms and elbows.

The company is also releasing a new fabric jacket built in conjunction with Dianese.
